Synopsis from Goodreads

Do people say they hate someone’s guts so that they can still fall stupidly, head-over-heels in love with the other parts?
Asking for a friend.

Okay, fine. I’m not asking for a friend.

I’m asking for me—and I’m begging you to tell me that the practice of falling in love with your should-be-enemy is common.

Please tell me that I’m not the only person to track down a guy—who used to be Hollywood’s baddest bad boy before he left LA for good—at his off-the-grid cabin in Alaska, show up unannounced, and find him gloriously naked.

This probably happens all the time…right?

Tell me I’m not alone in my stupidity—that I’m not the only woman who would fall for gorgeous blue eyes and a sexy devilish smirk, even if they belong to a broody, mysterious jerk.

Please. Please. Please. Tell me I’m not alone in this.

For the love of everything, I need all the supportive girl power I can get if I’m going to convince Luca Weaver to come back to Hollywood—otherwise known as the place he hates so much that he ghosted Oscar-level success and escaped to no-man’s-land for the last eight years just to avoid it.

Yeah, don’t worry—that smoke you’re smelling isn’t your house catching fire as you read this…it’s just my career and what was previously known as my heart going up in flames.

Gah. Is it just me, or am I totally, completely, and utterly screwed?

Taming Hollywood’s Baddest Boy Excerpt

Review

Taming Hollywood’s Baddest Boy is full of cute and sweet with Max Monroe’s trademark quirky humour shining through the narrative. The perfect read to lighten your spirits in the current climate.

Luca Weaver was at the top of his film career when he disappeared from the public eye 8 years ago. Talented, hot and on a complete downward spiral, Luca left the toxicity he was becoming overwhelmed by to live a simple life in the Alaskan wilderness – although no-one is aware of his precise location. He removed himself from the situation he was losing himself in; rather than confronting his demons he distanced himself from them. While he has gained perspective and maturity while in his isolation, he also has the underlying fear if he were to return the demons would once again consume him.

Billie is a Production Assistant to one of the hottest Producers in Hollywood, with the potential to become a Producer-in-Training if only she can outwit the suck-up who is also in line for the same job.

In a weird twist of fate, Billie overhears Luca’s name on the morning of a major pitch for the lead actor in a new movie. With Luca being at the forefront of Billie’s brain, her mouth spills the name before her brain can calculate the consequences 🤣😂 Leading Billie on a trek across the country to Alsaka, this may also involve being ridiculously dressed for the situation and attempting to kayak with no prior experience whatsoever. Although the prize at the end is a very naked Luca.

While trying to persuade Luca to delve back into the world of Hollywood; Billie and Luca journey into the wilderness to deliver supplies to Luca’s closest friend and neighbour. Their physical journey mirrors their emotional journey and the connection they establish besides the obvious attraction.

Although there is still the shadow of Hollywood and Luca’s past experience hanging over the pair. The road to happily ever after is never easy and when Luca behaves rashly he has his work cut out for him to repair the damage. Prepare to be wooed right along with Billie as Luca sets out to win back everything he has lost 😍

I loved the sibling relationship between Billie and her sister, Bridie, I am hoping Birdie will get a story all of her own ❤
