Synopsis from Goodreads
Recovering from a pulled groin muscle isn’t exactly how I planned to spend my much-needed summer vacation.
But I’ll admit, being nursed back to health by my gorgeous friend Bailey, who’s just graduated from medical school, doesn’t exactly sound like a hardship.
We spend a week together at my family’s beach house, a week of swimming and barbecues, a week of entertaining my little cousins and sleeping right across the hall from each other. A week of watching Bailey grow closer with my mom and sisters, and my wacky but lovable grandma. A week of enjoying Bailey tending to me—which is saying something, because it involves a lot of shoving ice packs into my underwear and taping up sore muscles.
She’s funny and kind, and after just being myself for the first time in a long time, I find my walls come tumbling down. But when Bailey says she’s not looking for a relationship, I’m bound and determined to be more than just the fun hookup who sprained his groin a second time—this time with her.
Your favorite hot jocks are back with an all-new standalone novel. If you like sexy, confident men who know how to handle a stick (on and off the ice), and smart women who are strong enough to keep all those big egos in check, this series is for you!
(Books can be enjoyed in any order.)
How can one man be both alpha and sweet, a family orientated, in touch with his feminine side yet completely masculine? This is the conundrum we are faced with as we get to know Asher on a deeper level. While he has been seen as a player of epic proportions so far in the series, at heart he is a romantic looking for the right person to fit into his extremely full life and large family.
Bailey and Asher have been friends for a while thanks to their mutual friends; despite having simmering attraction to each other they have never acted on it due to their own negative thinking. Plus they have never had any real alone time with which to confront their chemistry. However, all that is about to change when Asher requires a medical companion to accompany him to his grandmothers birthday party/family reunion. With Bailey freshly out of med school and with a few weeks before starting her residency, she makes the impulsive decision to go with Asher in a professional compacity.
Not that things stay strictly professional with them for long!!!!
I fell completely in love with Asher’s boisterous and demonstrative family especially his wicked grandmother, Lolli. I especially liked the way they absorbed Bailey into their family dynamic, giving her something she hadn’t realised she had been missing in her own life.
Asher is completely wonderful in his ability to be attuned to his emotions, he doesn’t shy away from his feelings simply acknowledges them being open and honest with his desire for the future.
With both Asher and Bailey having extremely busy careers, it is understandable that Bailey would have some concerns with how a relationship would work between them following their week away. Especially as she had a previous relationship end badly due to her limited free time. Although Asher isn’t perturbed in the slightest realising that in order to make a true foundation for the future he and Bailey would make the most of the time they have together. Which Asher is determined to prove to Bailey with actions and not just words.
Crossing the Line is a fast-paced story which will have you giggling and swooning right along with Bailey as Asher masters the way to his woman’s heart ❤
