Synopsis from Goodreads
You might be asking yourself why I’m waving an inflatable penis in the air and screaming at the top of my lungs. If I took time to explain, Declan Moss would get hit by a bus.
It’s really hard to save a guy’s life when he keeps running from you.
Let me back up. I didn’t ask for this. I was perfectly happy—and perfectly sane—before I was tasked with keeping Declan Moss alive. It was a thankless job until the moment that my panties dropped and his delicious smirk found his way in between my thighs.
Hello, toe-curling ecstasy. Goodbye, professional boundaries. And suddenly, there’s a new danger to avoid: the falling of my heart.
Tripping on a Halo is a fun, light-hearted romance for the most part. There are some hitches in the path to true love but nothing that would make you believe the HEA was unattainable.
As you already know I love heroines who are a little on the quirky side and completely embrace their crazy 😍 Autumn is exactly that type of character. She’s so adorable and
Autumn is struggling with the death of her mother and the conflicting financial situation she know finds herself in. When a number of situations link together all surrounding the delicious Declan, Autumn naturally assumes she is Declan’s guardian angel!!!! 😇
The plot thread was, if I am completely honest, totally predictable, especially as Alessandra places deliberately unsubtle hints throughout the narrative. However, the predictability does not detract from the connection to the story or the characters.
With Autumn determined to protect Declan, she has to ensure she is aware of his whereabouts and routine. This leads to Declan convincing himself he has a stalker!!! Comedy gold in the making for their random encounters.
Nevertheless, there is a definite feel of karma working it’s magic between Autumn and Declan. Each seemingly random encounter and it’s timing adding to the connection between the pair.
Tripping on a Halo will warm your heart as well as tickle your funny bone 😉
