Synopsis from Goodreads

Rules for my new job:
1) Do not have sex with a man in the office (again).
2) Do not break Rule #1

I’m playing it cool, clean, and professional…until I meet Roman Bianchi. He’s not an insecure nerd or an ego-hole like the other kings of Silicon Valley. He’s charming and handsome. He’s fun, funny, and smart.

He’s also in the office across the hall.

Two broken rules waiting to happen.
I can’t lose this job over some guy.
But Roman’s not just some guy. Under that suit and cocky smile, he’s a prince.

REVIEW

Raven was introduced in King of Code when she was hooking-up with Taylor, although not a serious relationship the alteration to their status with Taylor and Harper now together has made Raven look for alternative, stable employment.

All Raven has ever wanted was to make sure she was secure in her employment and stable financially after growing up with artistic free-spirited parents who often forgot the mundane necessities of life like food. Embarking on a new career, Raven is determined to make the most of her new opportunity. That is until she crosses paths with the charismatic Roman Bianchi. Although Roman is only a contractor for the company the iron-clad non-fraternisation policy provides a barrier to exploring the attraction between them.

Roman has his own issues with relationships stemming from his career goals but he has reached a point in his life where he is looking for something more than just a hook-up. All alpha male Raven doesn’t really stand a chance when Roman sets his sights on her.

Embarking on a clandestine affair while Roman is under contract for the firm Raven works for, only fuels the passion between them. they are so much more than just the physical. Counting down the days until Roman’s contract ends so they can be open in their relationships. However, there is an unexpected spanner in the works just as the end of the secrecy is in sight.

Ultimately, Raven and Roman have to decide whether their relationship means more to them than their careers!!!!
