Synopsis from Goodreads
Trevor Willis is sexy, sweet, and oh so fun. He’s also my best friend’s brother-in-law. That should mean he’s off-limits, or that I should be off-limits to him.
Someone probably should have told us that before my best friend married his brother, before the morning of the wedding when we woke in each other’s arms with gaping holes in my memory.
The hilarious truth behind our crazy, secret adventure secured this handsome, off-limits man in my heart. But alas, life goes on. After our one secret night, we went back to our lives—our hardworking, solitary lives.
And then it happened.
My phone began to buzz. Each night with thousands of miles between us, we laughed, talked, and shared. And then, the phone stopped ringing.
Before it did, I knew one thing…
Our secret one had bloomed and blossomed, and now that our circumstances have changed I want another one!
Shana Price is that one woman. You know, the one who suddenly makes the world more than a place to work, but also a place to live. Usually shy and awkward, in her presence I want to be more—I am more. I don’t even have to try.
She’s my one. I knew it the moment I first met her. What followed simply confirmed it.
The problem is the little hassle of the thousands of miles between us.
I tried to make it work, but each phone call made it harder. (Yes, that is a pun) I couldn’t take it anymore—and she became the one who got away.
Now, everything has changed.
Shana is back in the United States—all I have to do is make her see that her job isn’t the only reason to stay.
That shouldn’t be a problem, right?
From a secret one to another one!

Shana and Trevor met at the wedding of Kimbra and Duncan, who you may remember from Plus One. Shana is Kimbra’s best friend and Trevor is Duncan’s brother. A coincidence they met prior to the wedding and had an incredible connection from the very beginning. However, they both felt as if they couldn’t act on their chemistry because of the connection to Duncan and Kimbra. There was also the undeniable barrier of the long distance between their home bases, as Kimbra currently works in London.
Despite their initial attempts to stay in touch following the wedding, both Kimbra and Trevor feel as if they are only torturing themselves, fuelling their connection without the ability to develop it further. It’s like wanting something you can’t have and the longer you interact the deeper the craving. In order to overcome their longing, they both make the decision to let their contact fizzle.
Skip to a year later and the power of fate alongside another wedding and a career prospect place Shana and Trevor in the same vicinity/city for the duration of 2 weeks. Neither has been able to move past their connection in that time, believing each other as ‘the one that got away’. With fate on their side, Shana and Trevor use their time in New York to fan the flames that burn between them.
I loved the use of the movie Serendipity throughout Another One, it fits in with the theme so perfectly. Trevor and Shana are destined to be together; unfortunately, nothing is ever that easy. Shana’s career prospects are severely tested by a heinous b**ch in charge of the division Shana is hoping to transfer to. Their respective careers are important to both Shana and Trevor, throwing a spanner in the works of their budding feelings.
Will Shana get the promotion and move back to NYC???
What will happen if Shana has to move back to London???
My heart was literally in my throat as I attempted to speed read to find the answers 😉
Just remember fate is most definitely on team TRANA!!!!
